A former two-sport Division I College athlete, Dr. Lee Mancini is a sports medicine physician, certified sports nutritionist, and certified (with distinction) strength & conditioning specialist.
A leader in the field of sports nutrition, supplements, and sports performance, Dr. Mancini has published articles, written book chapters, and spoken nationally on these topics.

The son of a semi-professional football player and former college football coach, Lee grew up in Ithaca, NY, where sports were always a part of his life. In high school, Lee played baseball, ice hockey, soccer, swimming, and basketball. He attended Harvard for college, was a two-sport Division 1 athlete, playing baseball and ice hockey, while at the same time graduating with honors in biology. While still a medical student, he completed the Boston Marathon.
Education
Dr. Mancini attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA, where he kept active with road races, strength competitions, and sprint distance triathlons. After medical school, he completed a residency in Family Medicine and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Massachusetts. He is currently in practice at UMass Memorial Medical Center as a Sports Medicine specialist.

As a Sports Medicine physician, Dr. Mancini has provided care for many high school, college, and professional athletes. The list of college athletic teams includes Holy Cross College, Fitchburg State College, Worcester State College, Assumption College, and The University of Massachusetts (UMass) at Amherst. He has worked with three professional organizations, and currently through the Sports Medicine Center he provides care for the Boston Red Sox Minor League Organization. Dr. Mancini is the team physician for Assumption College, and for the student-athletes at Shrewsbury High School.
